Saumil M. Shah, MD is an interventional radiologist with a focus on providing compassionate, meticulous, and advanced care for patients. Dr. Shah has expertise in amputation prevention and limb salvage procedures for peripheral artery disease (PAD), varicose vein treatment, hemodialysis interventions, uterine fibroid embolization, liver tumor/metastasis therapies, and pain management. Dr. Shah treats patients at MakrisMD Vascular Center in Westmont, Illinois.

Dr. Shah graduated cum laude from University of Michigan and earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his internship at MacNeal Hospital and his residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Beaumont Health Systems in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Dr. Shah is on staff at Rush Oak Park Hospital and West Suburban Hospital. He served Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and Advocate Trinity before joining MakrisMD Vascular Center. Dr. Shah has presented research in multiple areas of interventional radiology including minimally invasive techniques.
