Omar Karim, MD is a board certified vascular surgeon with a special interest in all aspects of dialysis access creation and maintenance. He utilizes noninvasive imaging and minimally invasive interventional techniques for the treatment of vascular disease, providing critical care and maintenance to people with a dialysis access.
Dr. Karim received his medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed an internship in general surgery at the University of California San Francisco – East Bay in Oakland, California, and residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Karim completed fellowships, clinical trials, and outcomes research in vascular surgery at John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York.
