Jacques Abi Rached, MD, FASN is an interventional nephrologist with more than 10 years expertise in dialysis patient management. He specializes in arteriovenous fistula and graft examination for endovascular intervention, as well as catheter placement and management for hemodialysis patients. Dr. Abi Rached is an interventional nephrologist at Azura Surgery Center Cherry Hill, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Dr. Abi Rached earned his medical degree from the Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences in Hadath, Lebanon, and completed his residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. He received numerous awards during his residency, including Resident Teacher of the Year and Resident of the Year for Internal Medicine. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in nephrology at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

In addition to his medical work, Dr. Abi Rached is a dedicated advocate in the field of nephrology and dialysis access management. He is committed to utilizing innovating, cutting-edge medical technology for dialysis access management procedures that provide positive health outcomes for patients. He has received numerous grants and awards in the field of nephrology, including the Distinguished Achievement in Medical Research and Scholarly Activity Award from the National Kidney Foundation.

Dr. Abi Rached has worked as a clinician-instructor. He’s been responsible for teaching, conducting, and guiding residents and interns through invasive and lifesaving procedures like central venous line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, abdominal paracentesis, and thoracentesis. He is also highly skilled in dialysis catheter removal on native and transplant kidney patients.

Jacques Abi Rached, MD, FASN is fluent in Lebanese, French, and English, and is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
