How we practice

Outpatient anesthesia is offered at Azura Vascular Care for minimally invasive vascular procedures. With same-day or next day procedures, we provide pain relief, promote a faster recovery, and help patients get back to their lives sooner.

All of our outpatient anesthesia services are delivered primarily through mild to moderate sedation in a controlled environment that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and a smooth recovery. To support this specialized care model, anesthesia providers at Azura may receive in-house training in regional anesthesia techniques tailored specifically to vascular procedures.

Our anesthesia model is designed for the outpatient vascular setting — Monitored Anesthesia care (MAC) and moderate sedation support efficient procedures, quick recovery, and same-day discharge. General anesthesia is not provided at our centers.

The anesthesia provider role

Anesthesia providers at Azura Vascular Care centers independently manage anesthesia care while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and center staff.

Whether you’re a CRNA, anesthesiologist, interventional radiologist, interventional nephrologist, or vascular surgeon, our providers offer:

  • Pre-anesthesia assessment and planning
  • Anesthesia and sedation administration
  • Continuous monitoring during procedures
  • Post-anesthesia recovery and discharge.

Work-life balance

Providers at Azura Vascular Care centers work Monday through Friday with no nights, weekends, or on-call shifts, so the workday stays focused and your time outside of work stays yours.

A typical day at an Azura Vascular Care center looks like this:

  • Start time: Cases typically begin between 7:00 am and 8:00 am
  • End time: Most providers wrap up between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm
  • Case volume: Average of 8-12 cases per day, depending on the center and case mix
  • Case types: Dialysis access maintenance, fistula creation, catheter placement, peripheral artery disease interventions, uterine fibroid embolization, and other vascular procedures
  • Anesthesia type: MAC and moderate sedation; some centers offer regional anesthesia options. General anesthesia is not provided.
  • Call: No nights, weekends, or on-call requirements

How we work

Anesthesia providers are respected members of the care team and work in a setting that values clear communication and shared accountability. Our culture emphasizes professionalism, trust, and doing the work well.

Regional anesthesia training program

Interested in expanding your regional anesthesia skill set? Azura Anesthesia Partners offers an in-house peripheral nerve block training program for qualified anesthesia providers. This structured program provides:

  • Didactic education on ultrasound-guided nerve block techniques
  • Hands-on clinical training under experienced supervision
  • Focus on upper extremity blocks tailored to vascular access procedures

This program is available at select Azura centers and is designed to help providers develop specialized skills that enhance patient comfort and procedural outcomes.

Details about the training program and whether it is offered at your local center can be discussed during the interview process.

We are also partnering with Maverick Medical Education to offer additional regional anesthesia training opportunities. Maverick courses include two components: online didactic modules and an in-person lab. Online modules are also available as a standalone option for select courses.

What our providers say

"What motivates me to stay is knowing the work we do truly matters for our patients and their families."
